MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, promised a 4% pay increase for government employees beginning July 1, 2023. According to the state government, the change will benefit around 16 lakh state government employees, teachers, pensioners, and family pensioners.
The Tamil Nadu government increased DA for state government employees and retirees by 4% in May of this year. The DA was raised to 46% from 42% previously.
Odisha Pension Rules 2023
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik increased the dearness allowance for state employees by 4% last week. With this increase, the DA and DR have now risen to 46% from 42%. According to the state administration, the increased sum will be paid retroactively beginning July 1, 2023. In Odisha, the DA increase will benefit 4.5 lakh state government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners.
Karnataka hikes DA by 3% pdf
Last Saturday, the Karnataka government increased the dearness allowance for state government employees by 3.75 percent. The state administration announced that the dearness allowance will be increased from 35% to 387.5%. The state government would spend an additional Rs 1,109 crore from the state exchequer as a result of the increase.
After receiving criticism from labour unions, the state administration raised the base pay by up to 17% in March of this year. The state subsequently announced the formation of a commission to investigate the viability of returning to the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
