DA Hike /Arrears 2024: Himachal Pradesh’s government employees and pensioners have excellent news. Prior to Holi, the state’s Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu administration bestowed two significant presents. March arrears, leave encashment and gratuity
DA Hike: The chief minister declared during the budget that starting on March 1, pay and pensions for public employees and pensioners will be paid gradually while presenting gifts to over 3 lakh workers. The Punjab government has released an announcement regarding arrears payment; starting in March 2024, all employees would receive arrears. Arrears from March will be paid to employees who retired between January 2016, and December 31, 2021. Retired employee gratuities and leave encashment fees will also be covered.
4% of the total DA due in April
DA Hike: Aside from this, starting on April 1, employees will also receive a 4% DA installment. Every year, about Rs 580 crore would be spent on this. State personnel will be entitled to leave-related compensation (LTC) at least twice during their employment term starting on April 1, 2024; previously, they could only receive LTC once. Employees who resigned between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2021 will receive payment for their leave encashment and graduation-related obligations starting in March 2024.
Employees of the government will receive LTC twice while they are employed.
DA Hike: “The dues related to leave encashment and graduation of the employees retired between 01 January 2016 to 31 December 2021 will be paid in a phased manner starting on 01 March 2024,” Chief Minister Sukhu stated in his budget speech. A significant announcement about LTC for state employees was also made by CM Sukhu. CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu stated during the budget speech that “up until now, state employees could take LTC only once at the end of their service period.” With great pleasure, I announce that state personnel will be able to use the LTC facility at least twice during their service term starting on April 1, 2024.
